What is the difference between aluminum foil shielding and braided shielding used in shielded power cable?

Aluminum foil shielding can achieve 100% coverage, low cost and suitable for high-frequency interference; braided shielding coverage is generally 80% to 95%, low-frequency shielding effect is average but mechanical strength is high.

How to deal with shielding layer damage?

For small area damage, conductive tape can be tightly wrapped to ensure communication with the original shielding layer. For large area damage, it is recommended to cut and redo the joint and use metal shielding joint.
